Q: How can our company submit a job ad and is there a cost? A: Simple... click on the POST JOB hyperlink in the career section and you'll be taken to a simple form. Please provide complete information and contact information - your email address will not be displayed to site visitors. Or, simply email a job posting to jobs[at]gisuser.com
Q: Will our posting appear immediately? A: No, the GISuser editorial crew will QC your posting and then activate once we have given it a once over. This is to ensure that we don't have non-Geo items posted.
Q: How will I receive applications? A: If you provide an email address we'll link that to our "Apply" function. Applications submitted from our website will come directly to that email with a special subject line identifying it as a submission from GISuser Careers.
Q: How long do jobs get listed for? A: 45 days. If you'd like a shorter or longer run simply contact us... it's no problem to adjust!
Q: Is there a cost? A: NOPE... as a service to the GIS community job posting at GISuser.com is totally free. However, we do offer an "Enhanced" option for a fee of $50. This gets your announcement greater exposure. We'll list it in an area titled "featured jobs" which appears on every page on the website. Additionally, details will be published in our weekly newsletter... this is great value!
Q: How do I submit/request enhnanced listings? A: For now, a simple email to us is fine. We'll contact you to make the arrangements and provide you with a secure area to provide payment with a credit card. We may be willing to invoice you as well. If you'd like to have unlimited career posting we'd be glad to set you up with an annual account.
