The free app, currently available for the Android market, uses GPS technology to identify a user’s location, and then provides a full list of nuclear power plants and a map of the closest plant within a 50 mile radius; information including the age, power output, license and ownership of the closest plant; as well as links to more detailed information on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission website.
