The UCLA Certificate in GIST provides basic and advanced training in the use and application of geographic information systems (GIS) and related technology. Designed to serve a broad and diverse audience, the program integrates interactive learning methods with practical concerns and real-world applications. Each of the three one-week workshops will be taught by UCLA faculty experts in geographic information systems and technology who have over 20 years of experience teaching and applying GIS in a variety of local, regional and global settings. The program will also serve as an excellent arena where relationships can be developed, experiences shared and professional networks developed.
