- BS Degree in Engineering.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycles and programming concepts and methods
- Several programming languages development skills.
- Develop and support GIS Web-based applications
- 10+ years professional working experience in GIS techniques and methodologies.
- 5+ years of Web Development experience.
- Web Service development experience.
- 4+ years experience developing GIS capabilities using open source GIS products, standards, and APIs.
- Google Maps and Microsoft Virtual Earth API’s
- Expertise in the ESRI platform suite of products (ArcGIS, ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo, ArcGIS Server, ArcIMS, ArcSDE).
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Desktop extensions
- 10+ years of experience programming with the ESRI software environment
- Working experience in GIS application development and programming utilizing ArcObjects and .NET
- ArcGIS Server Web Application Development using JavaScript, Flex or .NET
- 5+ years experience developing in Java in a JEE environment.
- Working knowledge and experience in the use of Unix/Windows operating systems
- Working knowledge and experience with hardware-related issues.
- Experience in utilizing Geographic Position System (GPS) technology.
- Experience with Spatial Databases including Oracle Spatial, SQL Server, PostGIS and MyGIS.
- Experience with the design and implementation of geospatial solutions
- Knowledge of industry standard data models for municipal government agencies.
- Experience working major GIS projects for local or state governments
- Creative problem solving skills and ability to propose solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with application in GIS.
- Consulting background
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to speak up when necessary
- Willingness to learn, think, and work as part of the team.
