The Top 100 Projects report is compiled annually by ReNew Canada magazine and ranks the biggest infrastructure projects in Canada by dollar value. This year, ReNew Canada teamed up with ESRI Canada to produce an interactive Web application (http://top100projects.ca/) that maps over $96 billion in infrastructure investments in Canada.
What’s significant about this application is that it shows how geography, GIS and open data can be used to visualize and better explain community concerns (e.g. how stimulus funding for infrastructure projects was spread across the country).
