The Team:
As a GIS professional at ESRI your contributions have a real impact on the next generation of GIS technology. Our product development staff works in a creative and challenging team setting where their ideas are encouraged and welcomed. This dynamic work environment allows employees to collaborate and guide a product along, giving them the opportunity to see an idea become a successful GIS software solution. We are looking for GIS professionals who have the skills and the mindset to thrive in a constantly changing, cutting-edge environment.
Responsibilities:
Use your years of experience to envision, design, and develop new software functionality.
Write comprehensive technical documentation on software tools and GIS methods.
Enhance product quality by creating, reviewing, and executing high quality test plans.
Analyze, assist with, and drive customer issues.
Participate with management and development teams on planning for future releases.
Qualifications
Bachelors or masters in GIS, geography, computer science, or related field, depending on position level.
Five or more years of experience implementing, applying, and using GIS in a number of advanced implementations.
A high level of understanding of ESRI’s ArcGIS products and online services or other comparable GIS products.
Desire to define new GIS technology for use by GIS practitioners.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Recommended Qualifications:
Experience with programming languages (.NET, Java, Python, C++) or Web programming frameworks such as XML, SOAP, REST.
Advanced use and administration of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Informix, DB2).
