Job Description

Qualifications
We are currently seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our ENVI (Environment for Visualizing Images) software development team.
Qualified candidates must be self-motivated and results-oriented with strong personal initiative. Responsibilities include ongoing enhancement and maintenance of our cutting-edge commercial image analysis and visualization tools.
While the emphasis for this position requires a strong computer science background, any experience developing algorithms or applications for remote sensing, data ingest and processing, image processing (image classification/feature extraction) or data specific file readers/writers is a strong advantage for candidates. The ideal candidate will be comfortable mentoring and assisting more-junior team members with technical issues ranging from development to bug fixes to GIS-specific topics. Minimal travel is required.

- C/C++
- Software engineering background (commercial application development ideally).
- Geospatial/science/imagery background
- Windows development
- Desktop development
- BA/BS or advance degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline
Desired Skills:
- COM/ActiveX experience
- ArcObjects/ArcEngine development experience
- Linux/Unix development
- Server development (not web - html/css/db, but true server work - j2ee/ASP.NET)
