This position oversees and provides the technology and business systems utilized by executives and upper management of the company. It provides support for Legal, Regulatory & Compliance, Rates, E, H & S, Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Office Administration. This position will also be responsible for building and maintaining many of the company’s Filemaker systems and for providing guidance and support for other programmers in the company. The position must oversee and direct projects with staff and consultants with indirect reporting.
Knowledge:
• Natural gas pipeline industry knowledge and experience, with an understanding of practices in legal, regulatory, marketing, commercial operations, accounting, finance, human resources, engineering and facilities management.
• System design, business process analysis and reengineering concepts.
• Computer system development, operations and technologies: languages, protocols, architectures
• Project and budget management with IT implementation experience
• Strategic planning, supervisory and team building skills
• Interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels in the organization.
• Ability to motivate and lead peers, subordinates and corporate management.
• “Expert” level knowledge and experience with Filemaker Pro v9
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent experience.
• 10 years experience in developing and supporting technology and business computer systems.
• 10 years experience managing teams of professional systems development and support staff.
• 7 years experience: Strategic planning with executive management; Business process analysis; Leading mid and large size multi discipline projects; Working with interstate natural gas pipelines or within the natural gas industry
