The City of Auburn, Alabama, a rapidly growing, progressive university community is seeking a GIS Programmer/Analyst. This position is responsible for maintaining the geodatabase for the City of Auburn. Some of the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to, maintaining and updating GIS data through relational database management, spatial analysis, and mapping; administering ArcSDE and Geodatabase; administering internet mapping service; creating presentation quality maps for employees of other departments; performing GPS feature updates when necessary; creating custom GIS applications; and performing database design and implementation.
Qualifications
A baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field and at least one to two years of experience in a comparable position are required.
Compensation
Starting salary range is $3,279.65-3,916.07/month, depending on qualifications.
