The Blue Marble Desktop webinar for the month of August will cover the new features found in the soon-to-be-released Blue Marble Desktop v2.5. Some of these new features include the ability to create Geospatial PDF files; job "pipelining" enhancements that allow outputs from one job to be fed directly into another for complex raster processes; and a simplified download process for accessing the supplemental transformation grid files for horizontal and vertical datum transformations. There are new transformations types we will examine for EPSG Affine Parametric parameters, 14 parameter Time-based coordinate transformations, and support for concatenated datum transformations also found in the EPSG database. We will also take a look at a new Point Database operation for deriving your own 3 and 7 parameter datum transformations from geodetic control points.
